Cash Cubism is the title of a Fun section article in Southwest Airlines Spirit magazine (June 2010). I recently flew Southwest to Utah for a visit with my sister, Hazel. On the way to I had an old crumpled dollar bill and folded to Step 14 and was stumped. I was determined to have a very crisp new dollar bill on my return journey and try again. Here is the article and my finished product. Give it a try!

Bullock's Oriole
It's a beautiful bird but a sad tale that created this photo opportunity. A few Bullock's Orioles nest every year in a very bushy tree next door. They are elusive birds and we see them infrequently. However, this poor bird was chattering annoyingly around the house. My first was that a cat had caught it's spouse or child. When it landed on the cable outside the front window I grabbed my camera and quietly crept out the front door and snapped these two photos. I then hurried down the stairs and found Audi, my sweet kitty, had cornered a female (grrr!). I gently picked it up and noticed blood on it's wing. I did not have much hope, but since her grip was good and she was conscious I placed her on a high out of the way tree branch to recuperate. It was not to be, her wing was broken and she was eventually recaught by the two black cats next door. There was nothing I could do.

Just adopted
May I introduce Audi and Muff. They are less than 8 months old and still quite frisky though not in this shot. We acquired them from the next door neighbor who moved away. They were already coming over and eating the Iams we leave out for the occasional stray, but that is a whole other story.
This a a fun ring I finished and photo'd the other day. The "stone" is a perfect nature tumbled cylinder I found on a favorite North California beach. Now I have to decide whether I want to keep or sell on my Etsy site, ha ha.
